Daniel Sean Murphy holds a BFA in illustration from the School of
Visual Arts. After several years of classical-based drawing and
painting, Daniel decided to make sculptures as an alternative
outlet of artmaking. Daniel feels that his current method
of working is best suited for both his love of making
sculptural objects, as well as painting.
Daniel's work has varied from installing 350 hand-painted
Monarch butterflies, to re-creating an entire
woodpecker skeleton bone by bone. His
work is mostly inspired by nature,
and memories of nature from
his childhood.
He lives and works in NYC.
His studio is in LIC.
